Supervision for Coaches, Trainers and Facilitators...
Great Supervision supports Coaches (and all those in the helping professions) to be the best version of themselves in their coaching practice.
“The purpose of supervision is to enhance the wellbeing, and develop the practice of coaches of all levels of experience. Supervision is considered a powerful vehicle for deep learning: its benefits extend beyond the supervisee and include their clients and sponsoring organisations.” - European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC)
I’m guessing you got into Coaching because you want to make a positive, tangible difference to people’s lives. And as a Coach you probably work on your own with your clients and their issues, which, let’s be honest, can be complex and emotionally challenging, or can stretch the boundaries of your current experience and confidence.
So how do you keep yourself in the best possible state to do this, professionally, mentally and emotionally?
As a Coach in the first few years of practice post-qualification you might be missing the support, development, reference point and sense of team that your coaching school provided. You might be wondering if your coaching is as impactful as it might be. You might be feeling pretty lonely and missing a sense of “Team” around you. Maybe you’ve taken a break from coaching and are now feeling out-of-touch?
Supervision offers you a safe supportive space to:
As an experienced Coach myself I really appreciate the value of good quality Supervision. I’ve been in many of the places that I’ve mentioned above and I’ve definitely missed a sense of team and support around me at times. It’s important to me that every Coach has access to good Supervision and I try to make Supervision with me as accessible as possible, particularly for recently qualified coaches who might still be building up their practice.
As a Trainer of Coaches I am in a position to be able to support your ongoing professional development. I have been training coaches on the Animas Centre for Coaching’s Diploma in Transformational Coaching since 2017, and in Supervision I can share methods, tools and approaches that might not currently be part of your toolkit. I can offer support if you are returning to Coaching following a break and can also offer Supervision support to Trainers and Facilitators.
As a qualified Coaching Supervisor I also operate as a “guardian of the profession”, helping to ensure that you and your practice are operating within the boundaries of coaching, good practice and ethical standards.
How does it work...?
Supervision is a mutually respectful, peer-to-peer relationship. We are both Coaches and we are both bringing our knowledge, skill and experience to focus on your coaching practice.
If you’re interested in exploring having some Supervision, get in touch and we can arrange to have an initial chat to explore what you’re looking for, how I can help and how we can best work together.
Supervision sessions are around an hour long. We can arrange regular sessions at intervals to suit you and the rhythm of your practice or we can have one-off sessions to explore specific issues and questions as they arise.
What do Supervisees say...?

Supervision helps me to ensure that I retain best practice following my qualification. It keeps me informed on new insights and offers me the opportunity to strengthen coaching areas that I want to specialise in or, respectively want to explore further.
Supervision is my sounding board in a job that can be lonely. Bronwyn is my mentor, motivator and connector to the wider coaching family.
I value and respect Bronwyn as an exceptional coach and supervisor.
Her questioning techniques and skill to reflect my language make every single supervision an experience from which I learn and gain insight.
Bronwyn is always a 100% present and committed to each session

As a Coach, it is important to me to be able to develop my unique and creative style whilst remaining true to the principles of coaching. I find this a challenging path to navigate and I often experience uncertainties and insecurities about my work.
During my training, I learned about the importance of reflective practice, however life after qualification can sometimes feel like a lonely pursuit. Even though I have coaching buddies who I can share and learn with, there is nothing like having the professional supervision space where I can really dig deep with my challenges and grow through them.
Supervision has helped me to recognise my natural strengths and weaknesses as a coach and to build upon them. For example, I have learned how my desire to be a good coach and give a great service to my clients can get in the way of me being a good coach and delivering a great service!
I consider Supervision to be an essential investment for my practice. I recognise it as the space where I can continue to develop as a coach in line with my own values and industry principles. Knowing that I have this supportive space to call upon really helps to ground my practice in a confidence that ultimately benefits all my clients.
My relationship with Bronwyn has been fundamental to the growth of my coaching practice. I need a supervisor whose professional expertise I respect and whose feedback style I can trust, Bronwyn provides all of this. I do feel incredibly safe in my sessions with her and I feel like she understands precisely what kind of coach I want to be. I feel like she gets me, which has been really important because I’ve discovered that the more vulnerable I can allow myself to be in supervision, the more I am able to grow. Bronwyn provides a space where I can lay out all my insecurities – my fear of getting it wrong and my desire to grow, and as a result I have felt and observed my whole coaching practice improve.
